PCOS Introduction

PCOS Soul Support

This website is not meant to be a medical site with all that medical jargon. This site is meant to comfort your soul and help you help yourself through this thing called PCOS.

I am a women suffering just like you with this hormone disorder and it is no fun. I am not a doctor and I dont play one anywhere in my life or on TV but I sometimes think I could diagnose myself better than the real thing! I would have gone to medical school but the science got me!!

I want you to know that I suffer from most of the things Pcos has to offer. I have been dealing with these symptoms a long time and finally this year I am being treated and am seeing some results.

I hope this site will also be your spiritual helper in dealing with this disorder that no one understands. God can help you. You are still a beautiful women that God made. He wants you to feel that and know that. I know with all these symptoms of this you feel ugly, fat, hairy, hormonal, upset, mad and many other things I cant think of right now. But please know that you are not alone and you can get better. Pray that God will help you know how to take care of yourself to control this thing and get back to looking and feeling the way God intended for you to feel.

AACE Campaign Designed to Educate Doctors and Patients about PCOS The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) and PCOSA recently partnered to launch a Public Awareness Campaign to reach out to women of all ages with PCOS. As part of this initiative, AACE has released aPosition Statement on PCOS, which recommends taking a holistic approach to patient evaluation and treatment, considering the underlying endocrine condition as the root of PCOS. The statement highlights the serious health consequences of PCOS if left untreated or if treated only symptomatically. This document recommends lifestyle changes for PCOS patients, as well as the use of the insulin-sensitizing drug, metformin. This should be a great help to us. We can only hope Doctors will study this information and apply this in their practices.
